Syracuse Basketball Recruiting Trend Meter

CuseNation.com breaks down where Syracuse basketball is trending with their top recruiting targets in the 2017 class.

The Syracuse Orange always recruit elite prospects and the 2017 class is no exception. With several roster spots available, the Orange are looking to put together a big and talented class that will be counted on to contribute right away. Some targets are off the board, so here is the latest on where things stand.

TREND:

The Latest: Yes Mohamed Bamba is still wide open in his recruitment, and yes Bamba will be hard to land. But Syracuse remains very much in the mix here. They were able to get him on campus for their Elite camp, and visited him at his school recently as well.

TREND:

The Latest: Diallo is one of the top players in the entire 2017 class. The five-star prospect has visited Syracuse multiple times and remains high on the Orange. Kentucky and Duke have both extended offers somewhat recently, making his recruitment more of a battle for SU. Kentucky may be trending a bit here, but Syracuse is firmly in the mix.

TREND:

The Latest: Syracuse has recruited Quade Green as hard as anyone, and have been doing so for as long as any school. That has put the Orange in a good spot for the five-star point guard. In fact, they are trending in his recruitment right now.

http://www.scout.com/player/199835-lonnie-walker?s=185

TREND:

The Latest: Walker will be a tough get for Syracuse, but they remain in the mix. Syracuse visited him during the open period, and Walker says the Orange remain high on his list.

TREND:

The Latest: Richards' recruitment has been an interesting one. Syracuse seemed like maybe the team to beat early on, but Kentucky is trending as of late. The Orange is still involved, but the Wildcats will be tough to beat.

http://www.scout.com/player/204352-brandon-randolph?s=185

TREND:

The Latest: Syracuse is in Randolph's top 4 and received his first official visit. He subsequently visited Oregon, and will likely visit both Arizona and Wake Forest before making a final decision. That said, Syracuse is in a good spot after the official.

http://www.scout.com/player/182429-matt-coleman?s=185

TREND:

The Latest: Syracuse is one of Coleman's final options, but the Orange seem to be focused on Quade Green. Duke is trending with Coleman right now.

http://www.scout.com/player/193174-jordan-tucker?s=185

TREND:

The Latest: Syracuse is still prioritizing Tucker and remain in contact. His move down south has complicated communication to some extend, but that has not stopped the Orange from pursuing the New York native. Indiana had been one of the favorites, but they received a commitment from a four-star small forward Monday evening. That makes them less of an option for Tucker.

http://www.scout.com/player/203659-bourama-sidibe?s=185

TREND:

The Latest: Sidibe is an intriguing prospect who's recruitment has started to pick up in recent months. Syracuse is in the mix, and continue to recruit him hard.

http://www.scout.com/player/194548-oshae-brissett?s=185

TREND:

The Latest: Brissett continues to say he remains wide open. Syracuse is one of Brissett's top options, and the Orange visited him during the open period. With Richards trending toward Kentucky, Brissett becomes an important target. Brissett is very talented and has a ton of upside. The Orange were likely to pursue even if Richards had picked SU.
