Syracuse Women's Basketball Picked 4th in ACC Preseason Poll

The Syracuse women's basketball team was picked to finish in fourth place in the ACC on Wednesday.

During the ACC women's basketball media event, the Syracuse Orange was picked fourth in the preseason poll, the conference announced on Wednesday. Notre Dame was picked to win the league, with Louisville and Florida State behind the Irish but ahead of Syracuse. 

Also receiving accolades was senior point guard Alexis Peterson, who was one of 10 players selected to the Preseason All-ACC Team. Louisville's Myisha Hines-Allen was tabbed as player of the year. 

Representing the Orange at media day were Peterson, senior guard Brittney Sykes and head coach Quentin Hillsman. 

Syracuse opens their 2016-17 season on Friday, November 11th against Rhode Island. That game tips at 3:00pm inside the Carrier Dome.
