Game Balls: Syracuse vs Florida State

Breaking down the best Syracuse performance in all three phases from the Orange's loss to Florida State. hands out its weekly game balls, this time they come after Syracuse fell to Florida State 45-14.

Amba Etta-Tawo: Etta-Tawo may have only had two catches for 58-yards, but he should have had a bigger day. He was open down the field several times and Mahoney could not get it to him. He was really good against the Seminoles despite the subpar statistical day. The highlight of his night was a 46-yard Hail Mary touchdown grab at the end of the first half.

Other Nominees: Erv Philips (7 catches, 63 yards, 1 TD)

Christopher Fredrick: This was a coming out party of sorts for Fredrick. Fredrick tied for second on the team lead in tackles with six, had Syracuse's only interception on the day, and forced two Dalvin Cook fumbles. It was a strong, strong performance for the redshirt freshman defensive back. He has carved out a role for himself going into next season.

Other Nominees: Rodney Williams (8 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 sack)

Brisly Estime: Estime finished with two punt returns for 64 yards. Both returns were one broken tackle away from a touchdown. Both also gave Syracuse excellent field position. He was a star for the Orange special teams. Speed, quickness and elusiveness in the open field were all on display. Hofrichter made a strong case with his stellar punting, but on Senior Day, the senior gets the nod.

Other Nominee: Sterling Hofrichter (9 punts, 44.4 avg, 5 over 50-yards, 5 inside 20), Punt coverage unit (5 returns, -1 total yards).
