Mike Hart Takes Job at Indiana

Mike Hart has left his job as Syracuse running backs coach to take the same position with Indiana football.

Mike Hart is no longer an assistant coach with the Syracuse Orange. He has taken the running backs coach job at Indiana after serving in the same position with SU during the 2016 season.

Hart has connections to the current Indiana staff. His offensive coordinator from his collegiate playing days at Michigan, Mike DeBord, is the new offensive coordinator for the Hoosiers. Their quarterbacks coach, Nick Sheridan, was a teammate of Hart's with the Wolverines.

Hart starred in high school at local Onondaga Central before becoming Michigan's all-time leading rusher. He then spent three seasons in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts, where he played in the Super Bowl in a loss to the New Orleans Saints.

The news means Syracuse has an opening on their staff for the 2017 season.
