It finally came on Saturday.
Howard Washington picked up an offer from Syracuse multiple sources tell Scout, the school that has long been dream school. The Orange have been recruiting Howard for years, but had ramped things up in recent months. Especially after Quade Green picked Kentucky.
Syracuse has gone to watch Washington play, and Washington has visited Syracuse multiple times this season. That includes the memorable Duke game, calling it "great."
Originally, Washington signed with Butler. But the two sides agreed to part ways, freeing the talented point guard to reopen his recruitment. He also holds offers from Georgia Tech, Illinois, Miami, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Xavier.
Once Washington moved on from the Bulldogs, he reclassified from the 2016 class to the 2017 cycle. He also transferred to Athlete Institute in Canada, the same program for which Syracuse signee Oshae Brissett plays.
