The Syracuse Orange continue to make progress on the recruiting trail in the 2017 cycle. With only a week until the late signing period begins, they have set an official visit with one of their top priorities.
Four-star wing prospect Jordan Tucker will officially visit SU this coming weekend (April 7-9), he announced on Twitter. Tucker had previously scheduled a trip to check out the Oregon Ducks.
Other schools in the mix include Villanova and Georgia Tech. Tucker has already officially visited the Wildcats and has unofficially visited the Yellow Jackets.
This will not be his first time on the Orange campus, having taken several trips previously.
Tucker has spent his senior season in Georgia playing for Wheeler High after previously playing for Archbishop Stepinac in White Plains (N.Y.).
Syracuse's recruiting efforts are led by assistant Gerry McNamara, who has established a strong relationship with the 6-foot-8 sharpshooting small forward. Expect the orange carpet to laid out for Tucker and family as they try to add him to their 2017 class.
Tucker would fill a big need for SU, who need outside shooting and wing depth for their 2017-18 roster. Tucker would go a long way towards establishing that, and would no doubt have a major role as a true freshman.
