Kiara Lewis will visit Syracuse women's basketball over the weekend

A talented transfer guard will take an official visit to Syracuse.

The Syracuse Orange women's basketball program will host former Ohio State guard Kiara Lewis the weekend of May 5th for an official visit, a source tells Scout. Lewis left the Buckeyes after one season.

She has three years of eligibility remaining, but will have to sit out the 2017-18 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

During her freshman campaign, Lewis started 15 games averaging 6.7 points per contest. She was also second on the Buckeyes with 40 steals.

Lewis is a former club teammate of Syracuse freshman guard Gabby Cooper

The Syracuse women's program added two transfers after the 2015-16 season in Jasmine Nwajei and Isis Young. Both sat out last season, but will be eligible to play this fall.
