Kiara Lewis was a highly touted recruit out of high school and signed with Ohio State. After just one season with the Buckeyes, the talented guard decided to transfer. After visiting Syracuse the weekend of May 5th, Lewis has found her destination with the Orange, a source tells Scout.
Lewis will sit out the 2017-18 season, but has three years of eligibility remaining. As a true freshman, she started 15 games for Ohio State, averaging 6.7 points per game. She finished second on the team in steals.
A former club teammate of Syracuse freshman Gabby Cooper, Lewis becomes the third transfer over the last two offseasons for the Orange. She joins Jasmine Nwajei and Isis Young, both of whom will play this coming season after sitting out the 2016-17 campaign.
