With the 2017-18 Syracuse basketball roster set, the Orange can turn their full attention to the 2018 recruiting cycle. One of their top targets in the class is 4-star forward Cole Swider. Swider is officially visiting Syracuse from Sunday through Tuesday, he announced on Twitter.
Swider also announced he is down to four schools, which include Syracuse, Duke, Villanova and Xavier. He will officially visit each as follows.
Syracuse: June 18-20
Duke: June 23-24
Xavier: June 26-27
Villanova: To Be Determined
Swider's primary recruiter at Syracuse is Gerry McNamara, with whom he has developed a strong relationship.
"I have a really good relationship with him," he said previously. "We talk a lot. He always asks about my family and stuff, how everybody's doing. He says I can come to Syracuse and be a rock star. He thinks I can be like some of the Syracuse legends. It's cool to hear that. It's been cool getting to hear his side.
"He's a very personable guy and really connects with players. he's still a young dude so he still knows the latest stuff and latest music. He's a really cool guys and relates to players on different levels. Especially with me because we're both pretty intense when it comes to playing the game, so we've connected very well from that standpoint."
