Pennsylvania Lineman Picks Syracuse

One of the top offensive line prospects in the state of Pennsylvania, Justin Outten of Central Bucks West, has made up his mind and will commit to Syracuse today, he told Student Sports last night.

"I'm going to call Syracuse tomorrow and tell them that I'm committing," Outten told Student Sports Monday evening.

"Syracuse has always been my top choice. I just fell in love with the school when I visited on their Junior Day. They've got a good program, great facilities and I get along real well with the coaching staff."

The 6-3, 280 pound Outten plays tackle for CBW, but will move to either guard or center for the Orangemen. Outten has very good technique, solid strength and quick feet (4.72 in the shuttle at the Nike Camp in Pennsylvania).

Said Outten of his decision to commit, "It's like a 1,000 pounds have just been lifted off of my shoulders. Now I can focus on our season and getting back to the playoffs. My family and I are very happy how things have worked out."

Outten chose Syracuse over West Virginia, Pitt, Kansas State and Oregon. He is the eighth known commitment to the Orange so far this year.
