Toledo at Syracuse Preview

Toledo (3-1) at Syracuse (2-1), Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m. – Barnburner. Shootout. Put simply, this game should be a high-scoring game.

Toledo sophomore quarterback Bruce Gradkowski is a potent a passer as the Orangemen have seen so far, completing 87-of-125 passes to go along with 10 touchdowns.

Toledo needed every bit of Gradkowki's effort to upset then-No. 9 Pittsburgh, 35-31. The Syracuse defense will have its hands full.

Meanwhile, Syracuse is coming off a 38-14 thumping of Central Florida. Walter Reyes has been red hot so far, rushing for 173 yards a game, leading all Division I-A running backs. Receiver Johnnie Morant and quarterback RJ Anderson have both gotten off to good starts, and should be able to keep up with Toledo's offense.

Notes and Quotes: Morant (ankle) returned to practice this week and will be ready for tomorrow's game. The same can't be said for receiver Jamel Riddle (academics), who has yet to play a game this year.
