Great Expectations

When we last saw Syracuse's men's basketball players, they were hoisting their national championship trophy on the floor of the Carrier Dome.

Then, they walked out of the arena for the last time and went their separate ways-Carmelo Anthony to the NBA, Kueth Duany to minor professional leagues, head coach Jim Boeheim to a bevy of summer charity golf tournaments.

Besides Anthony, Duany and walk-on Tyrone Albright, the rest of the Orangemen are back for the 2003-04 season. And Syracuse brings in four freshmen (forwards Terrence Roberts and Demetris Nichols, center Darryl Watkins and guard Louie McCroskey) for its quest to repeat as national champions.
