Q & A with Donte Woodyard

Cusejuice.com had the oppurtunity to interview recent Syracuse football commitment, Donte Woodyard, of Forestville High School, Forestville, Maryland.

Donte Woodyard is a consensus top 15 player in the Maryland/Washington D.C. area this year. He is a 6-foot-4; 200-pound defensive end.

Q., Why did you decide to commit to Syracuse University to play football?

I went there for the Spring game and liked it. I think I can make an immediate impact there.

Q. What position will you play at Syracuse?

Outside Linebacker, but If I gain weight the coaches said they might move me to defensive end.

Q. What other schools were you looking at?

I had offers from Boston College, Purdue, Kent State, Connecticut, and Marshall.

Q. Did the ACC-Big East dilemma over the past couple months factor in your decision at all?

No, I am going to be a player regardless of what conference I am in.

Q. You are one of four kids from Maryland in this year's incoming class; do you know any of them?

I know Tommy Moss, he is real good. Quinton Brown is good too.

Q. When do you plan on visiting Syracuse officially?

I am going on an official visit to Syracuse for the Notre Dame game.
