Orange Sign Three Wideouts

A priority of this year's Syracuse recruiting class was wide receiver. Syracuse was hoping to sign at least three for the position and they did. Three wide receiver recruits have sent in their signed letters this morning.<br><br>

Wide receivers J.J. Bedle, Rice Moss and Diego Oquendo have all signed on the dotted line.

Bedle, a 5-9, 160-pound wide receiver from Keyport High School in Keyport, NJ is ranked as a three star athlete according to Insiders.com. He was second-team Associated Press All-State selection as a junior and senior and was a 2003 High School Heisman First Team selection. He led Shore Conference with 48 receptions for 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2003. During his junior season, he caught 53 passes for 1,051 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior, earning all-state honors. On defense, he recorded 43 tackles, seven interceptions and 12 pass breakups in 2002 . Bedle picked Syracuse over Michigan, Michigan State, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Rutgers.

Moss, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound wide receiver from Georgetown Preparatory School in North Bethesda, MD is a two-sport athlete, who also plays basketball.

Moss was named a 2003 first-team all-state and Washington Post All-Metro selection. He recorded 34 receptions for 712 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior to lead the Little Hoyas to their fourth consecutive conference title. Also a kickoff returner, he returned three game-opening kickoffs for touchdowns and had five interceptions.

" I loved it, "Moss said of Syracuse. " I don't think any other school fits me more perfectly. I love everything about them. It's a little cold, but I like how the players treat you like friends. It's just the perfect place for me. I felt really comfortable there and I like the campus too."

Moss picked Syracuse over Duke, Illinois, Maryland, Standford and West Virginia.

Oquendo is 6-foot and 170-pounds. He rushed eight times for 188 yards (23.5 yards per carry) and two touchdowns as a senior . He had 12 receptions for 287 yards and five touchdowns, and returned four punts 172 yards, including two touchdowns in 2003.

Other recruits already sending in their signed letters are safety A.J. Brown, offensive tackle Ryan Ehrie, tight end Tom Ferron and linebacker Donte Woodyard.
