Once Coach Pasqualoni found out Diego was a senior and not a junior( which was incorrectly put on PSAL website that Diego was a junior), he came to school to talk to Diego and his mom and really impressed them.
"Diego and his mom then went to Syracuse on an official visit and absolutely loved it. That sealed the deal."
Oquendo chose Syracuse over an offer from South Carolina and strong interest from Penn State. Will Diego Oquendo committing to Syracuse stem the tide of Penn State getting New York City's top football prospects?
Munson responded by saying, "We would like all our players to stay home and play for Coach Pasqualoni. Coach Pasqualoni has done a lot for New York
City PSAL Football."
