Top NYS LB Interested In The 'Cuse

Webster Schroeder Head Football Coach Anthony Bianchi knows he has a real blue chip player in Mike Stenclik.

"Syracuse and Boston College have already offered," Bianchi said. "Penn State, Pittsburgh, and Maryland are showing strong interest. I just sent tape on Mike out to all those schools and to Michigan and Miami."

The word on the street is that Penn State is Mike's leading school but Bianchi says different. "I don't think so, if anything Syracuse is the front runner right now.

"Syracuse was the first to offer him and he really likes what they have to offer."

Bianchi also says Stenclik wants to make his college choice before the start of the summer. Look for his recruitment to get real interesting in the next three months.

Stenclik is a 6-foot-1; 225-pound RB/LB that made 2nd team All-State and 1st team All-Greater Rochester in 2003. He was the 2003 All-Greater Rochester Player of the Year. As a running back, he ran for 1,042 yards and 17 touchdowns this past season.
