Goodridge Lists Orange

The amount of schools that would love to sign Vernon Goodridge, a 6-foot-9, 230-pound power forward/center who will play for Lutheran Christian in Philadelphia this season, during next Fall's signing period continues to grow.

Goodridge spent his Memorial Day weekend competing at the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions event in North Carolina.

"It was a lot of fun," Goodridge said. "The competition was tough. But I thought we did okay."

(For more highlights and information on the Tournament of Champions event, slide over to Dave Telep's National site on this network) Goodridge is still planning more visits. His mom has already taken a trip to the St. John's campus to meet the new staff there. "I will probably visit there next week," Goodridge said.

Goodridge's dad also spoke about his son's recruiting process. "Vernon played well," he said. "He had a lot of blocks and scored I believe 15 and 18 points in two different games. I think Vernon will visit St. John's next week."

Goodridge's dad also mentioned that his son wants to take more visits other than the expected visit to St. John's. "He wants to see North Carolina, Syracuse, and Georgia Tech," Mr. Goodridge said. "But he is right now getting himself ready to go to the Pangos camp in California this week."

Vernon is also interested in Louisville, Rutgers, Pittsburgh, Clemson, Iowa State, Georgetown, Seton Hall, and Virginia Tech. "I am open," Goodridge said. "I just want to take some trips before I make any decision."
