Davis Back In Big Apple

Despite the many rumors that floated around New York City over the past month, Theo Davis, a 6-foot-10 forward/center from Canada, is back in the Big Apple.

"He's here with me," said Cardozo High School head coach Ron Naclerio. "He's heading over to the Reebok camp today."

Many of the top players in the country will register today and tonight before the Reebok ABCD camp beings in full swing on Thursday afternoon. Davis is one big man that many high major schools are anxious to evaluate. But, as usual, the rumors surrounding any player in New York City swirled over the past couple of weeks. One rumor was started by a website that stated Theo was going in a package deal with Drew Gladstone, his teammate from Cardozo. This wasn't true.

The most recent rumor was Theo went back to Canada for good. Well, Davis is back in New York City, and indicated today he is set to play for Naclerio this upcoming season.

Davis has scholarship offers from all of the schools on his list -- Indiana, Miami, Texas, Georgetown, St. John's and Syracuse. Davis said there is no leader in his recruiting process. He's already taken unofficial visits to St. John's and Syracuse. The Orangemen appear to be in good shape with Davis, who has consistently mentioned the Syracuse program among his top schools.

Davis averaged 18 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks per game as a junior at Cardozo.
