In a game littered with fouls, Harris's own foul trouble prevented him from showcasing his talents to an extent, but his play still hinted as to why he is such a coveted prospect.
Harris did a strong defensive job on UTEP commit Stefon Jackson, provided a steady hand with the ball, and pitched in on the glass. While he only scored a handful of points, he helped his team with his decision-making and defense, as well as board work.
Viewed as a top-tier talent in the class of 2006, some top flight programs are giving him a hard look.
"I'm being recruited by Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Connecticut- I like Connecticut- and Ohio State," said Harris. "I haven't heard from North Carolina, but I would like to."
Paul said that Pittsburgh and Connecticut had offered, and that he would probably take trips to Syracuse and Pittsburgh some time in the future.
Harris will move on to prep school after this year. He has kicked around a couple of possible destinations, but it has yet to be determined.
"I'm looking at South Kent and Mount Zion, so far," said Harris.
Harris's versatility and toughness are two of his biggest assets. He can play four positions competently, with the handle and passing ability to slide over to the point at times. His strength, athleticism, and toughness lend themselves well to post play, as well.
Harris travelled with Jeff Bishop's GC Ballers this summer, and was named the upperclassmen MVP of the Adidas Camp in Atlanta in July.
