Of course, when Miami and USC offered the 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver, they immediately became the frontrunners.
"Coach (Pete) Carroll has done a great job with USC and that's not going to change anytime soon," Lobdell said. "Miami has built a great tradition in the last few years."
But there are still other schools in the hunt. Lobdell took an official visit to West Virginia last weekend.
"They have a good program," Lobdell said. "They're in a good position in the Big East."
Lobdell is thinking about taking an official visit to N.C. State and Virginia Tech this weekend and also met with Pittsburgh coach Tom Freeman yesterday during a CBA basketball game when the football team was on hand to see their banner raised.
Still, with the recent move of Walt Harris to Stanford, Pitt has fallen back in the race.
"They're on the outside looking in with their coaching situation. I'm still interested, but I can't keep a hard interest."
Penn State has also offered Lobdell, but he said that he isn't interested.
Two still lead for Lobdell
