Longshot Syracuse adds Lobdell

After taking recruiting trips to West Virginia, Miami, and Florida, Syracuse (NY) Christian Brothers Academy standout wide receiver Lavar Lobdell decided to stay home. He signed with Syracuse a few moments ago.

Lobdell had a tough time choosing between Miami, Florida and Syracuse, but the Orange was able to get him to sign earlier today.

Lobdell, who didn't even consider Syracuse three weeks ago, meet with new Syracuse head coach Greg Robinson in January.

Lavar Lobdell is a 6-foot-3, 190-pound WR that made 1st team All-State and All-CNY in 2004. Lavar had 38 catches for 733 yards and 21 touchdowns during his senior year. Lobdell is widely recognized as one of the top ten football players in New York State.
