Mayben still trying to qualify for Syracuse

According to Albany City Rocks Head Basketball Coach Jim Hart his start player Emmanuel Mayben has every intention on playing at Syracuse in the fall.

"Right now he plans on being at Syracuse in the fall. He hasn't qualified yet and needs to raise his SAT score. I think he has two more chances to take it and will if he has too. He doesn't want to go to prep school if he doesn't have to. Tiki believes he came make an impact at Syracuse and wants to get there as soon as possible." As for the rumors that Mayben was kicked out of school, Coach Hart said they are untrue and that he is on track to graduate.

Emmanuel "Tiki" Mayben is a 6-foot-4, 180-pound point guard that led his Troy High School Basketball team (Troy, NY) to the section semifinals for the first time in four years. He averaged 21 pts per game and made 50 3-pointers on the season. He is widely recognized by many as one of the top 5 basketball players in New York State in 2005.
