New York City product already with five offers

Christ the King (Queens, NY) Head Football Coach Kevin Kelly knew his star football player Maurice Evans is a Division 1 athlete, but never thought he would have five Division 1 offers this early in the process.

"Maurice has offers from Virginia, Syracuse, Maryland, and Penn State. Miami and North Carolina are also calling and showing a lot of interest in Maurice."

Coach Kelly went on to say that Evans just got back from Syracuse's junior day this weekend. "He had a good visit at Syracuse junior day and was impressed with Coach Robinson and the new staff up at Syracuse."

As of now Evans does not plan on camping anywhere this summer. With defensive end being the most important recruiting need for Syracuse this year and already offering New York State's two top defensive ends in Mackenzie Matthews and Maurice Evans is a step in the right direction.

Maurice Evans is a 6-foot-3, 250-pound Defensive End that made first team CHSFL in 2004 as a junior. He is widely recognized as one of the top ten football players in New York State for this upcoming season.
