The Orange landed a big time wide receiver landed two big time receivers in February when they signed Lavar Lobdell and Bruce Williams. This year they appear to be on the favorite lists of several of the Northeast Region's top receivers this season. Andrey Baskin is very interested, as is John Maddox.

(6-2, 170, 4.6) will venture to Syracuse
on Friday for an unofficial visit
Syracuse a good school I can't wait to visit," Maddox said. "Especially knowing that Marvin Harrison (Roman Catholic) went there. Its good to know that people from Philadelphia do have a chance of going to the pro's for football. I have a nice relationship with Coach Cross from Syracuse and also Curtis Brinkley so they both talk to me as a friend I think there real cool can't wait to take this trip Friday."
Maddox has received 30 written scholarship offers to date including one from the Orange. His most recent offers have come from Temple, Toledo, Tennessee, Marshall, and Oklahoma.
The Orange are one of the teams the "Keystone State "standout is currently favoring.
"Right now I would say Florida, Syracuse, Penn State, Notre Dame, Rutgers, Purdue, and Michigan State," Maddox said. "It will change once I start visiting the teams that have offered."
As a junior, Maddox caught 23 catches for 505 yards and 11 Touchdowns and defensively he recorded 65 tackles and 10 interceptions. According to Maddox he carries a 2.6 core grade point average and has scored an 880 on the old SAT and an 1180 on the new SAT.
