Tyrell Lynch Bolsters Stock

Paul Harris has propelled his stock skyward within the last six months, and Lazar Hayward's rise has been nothing short of meteoric. Add Tyrell Lynch to the list of GC Ballers' players who have succeeded in bolstering their stock with solid play this spring and summer.

A sturdily built 6-foot-8, 220-pound power forward from Niagara Falls High School, Lynch is another high major target on a team that just keeps on winning. In addition to the Ballers' exploits at the Summer Classic East at Fairleigh Dickinson in New Jersey, where they captured the title on Wednesday, Lynch helped himself at the recent Adidas Superstar Camp in Georgia. "It went pretty well," said Lynch. "I was ranked the number nine power forward at the camp. I think I performed well." A mobile big man who runs the floor, goes to the glass, and throws a solid outlet pass, Lynch is the Ballers' primary post threat. He was pretty active in play this week, and seems to be in good standing with coaches. "My top four right now is Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, and Georgia Tech," said Lynch. "The schools that have offered me so far are Siena, Charlotte, St. Bonaventure, and Canisius." Lynch gave us some feedback on what appeals to him in program. Proximity to home was among the desired attributes. "I like the idea of staying close to home," said Lynch. "Academic programs and the basketball program (are both considerations)." Coaches will have more opportunities to catch this developing big man in the next two weeks. The Ballers will attend the Playaz Ball at Seton Hall University this week, followed by the Super 64 in Las Vegas, and the Best of Summer Tourney at Loyola Marymount University in California.

In recent days, Marquette is just one of several programs watching Lynch play in events. As Lynch continues to impress, his list could expand with some more high division one programs.
