Syracuse My Top Choice

Malvern, Pa., native Ryan Nassib was offered a scholarship by Syracuse in early March and was patiently anticipating his scheduled visit at the end of the month to finally see the campus in person. This past weekend the quarterback did just that and came away impressed.

Last weekend was what Malvern Prep signal caller Ryan Nassib was waiting for ever since he received his written scholarship offer from the Orange. The 6-foot-3, 220-pounder made the trip up the Pennsylvania Turnpike to Route 81 and finally found himself at the place that could be his home for the next four years.

"I ended up making my scheduled visit on March 30th and 31st and it ended up being a very exciting trip," Nassib said. "I was obviously very excited because it was Syracuse I was going to and that they had already offered me, but it was also my first college visit, so the excitement was on so many different levels."

"The facilities on campus were top quality and everything necessary to succeed was provided to the football program," Nassib explained. "I was also very impressed by the academic layout at Syracuse. I enjoyed watching the emphasis the coaching staff put on execution with the players and it was obvious that the coaches want to instill that desire into their athletes. At the moment, Syracuse is definitely my top choice."

As a junior at Malvern Prep, Nassib threw for 1400 yards and 17 touchdowns to only four interceptions and earned first team All-League and third team All-City honors at quarterback. He has put no time frame on a decision and plans to participate in the combine in Randolph, N.J., on April 15th.
