Fla. Safety Graham Enjoys Cuse Visit

Safety Dorian Graham of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., has made only one visit – to Syracuse – and is considering only two more schools – Michigan State and Wake Forest. But he had a great time at his SU visit and isn't planning to check out the other two schools until after the season. So is it safe to assume he could commit to the Cuse before then?

Safety Dorian Graham of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., has made only one visit – to Syracuse – and is considering only two more schools – Michigan State and Wake Forest. But he had a great time at his SU visit and isn't planning to check out the other two schools until after the season. So is it safe to assume he could commit to the Cuse before then?

"I can't really say yet. I'm just playing all of my cards and hopefully I can get it out of the way soon," said Graham, 5-foot-10, 173-pound senior who runs a 4.34-second 40 yard dash.

Graham had a successful visit to Syracuse and seems to be favoring the Orange.

"I liked it a lot, and my dad went with me and he liked it a lot also," he said. "I liked the living quarters they have for the players. They live in apartments and there's no curfew, which is good, even though you won't really be out late because of the workouts. They treat you like adults. They pretty much trust you to do the right thing, which is fine because that's what I always do."

Graham's St. Thomas Aquinas team is off to a 3-0 start, and he has recorded 20 tackles and an interception. Syracuse is recruiting him as a strong safety, and he's hearing once a week from assistant coach Jim Salgado, which is a good thing when you consider what's most important to Graham.

"I'm paying attention to which schools are keeping up with me. If they haven't called in a couple of weeks, I'm obviously not that important," he said.

Graham stayed with former high school teammate Kevin Scott during his visit, and enjoyed hanging out with the players and coaches.

"They showed me the whole gist of what players do there," he said. "Everyone was real nice."
