Brandon Triche Update

Jamesville DeWitt's Brandon Triche has long been on the SU radar and on the minds of SU basketball fans. How has his rehabilitation from the knee injury been going and what is his outlook on the future?

Brandon Triche is ready for his senior season at Jamesville-Dewitt high school. When asked about that ACL tear that sidelined him in December 2006....he said he's feeling "110%"

The 6-3 195 pound guard has been the center of discussion by a lot of Syracuse Basketball fans over the course of the last couple years on whether he would wear his hometown Orange. He said right now he is still interested in many schools, but his top three are "Uconn, Georgetown and Syracuse." And when asked if Syracuse has officially offered him a scholarship he said, "Yes". Brandon said that he would be making his college choice "sometime very soon".

Triche spent the summer at the RBK All-American Camp in Philadelphia and said he spent his time there focusing on "developing things to make himself a great point guard."

But even Brandon knows he has aspects in his game that he needs to work on and he has a fantastic mind set about it. "I am doing a strength program workin on my speed, lateral quickness, and footspeed. My explosion is all the way back, I am jumping higher then I did before the ACL injury. Everyday I'm working on my ballhandling, shooting and conditioning."

When looking ahead to his senior season he said, "By the start season of the season if I keep working hard everything should pan out. I set goals for myself both short and long term and right now I'm just trying to achieve them."

After a summer of dedication and hard work for Brandon Triche it appears that all of his goals are becoming that much closer to becoming a reality.
