2003 Recruiting Class

Last week, Syracuse signed three high school seniors for its 2003 season. Here's a look at who these guys are.

Terrence Roberts

The Vitals: Forward, 6-foot-9, St. Anthony's High School, Jersey City, N.J.

Stats: Averaged 13 points as a junior.

Other: Coached by Bobby Hurley. High school is ranked 19th overall and fifth in the USA Today Preseason Poll.

Quoteable: "Terrence handles the ball pretty well for a big guy," coach Jim Boeheim told the Daily Orange. "When he puts on some weight, he's going to be a great rebounder at the college level."

Demetris Nichols

The Vitals: Forward, 6-foot-7, St. Anthony's High School, Barrington, R.I.

Stats: Seventeen points, seven rebounds, four assists and four blocks as a junior.

Other: Coached by Mike Hart. St. Andrews ranks seventh in the USA Today Preseason East Region Poll.

Quoteable: "Demetris is a great outside shooter, a very good athlete," Boeheim told the Daily Orange. "His main weapon is he's a very good shooter."

Louie McCroskey

The Vitals: Guard, 6-foot-5, St. Raymond's High School, New York, N.Y.

Stats: 15.4 points and 7.7 rebounds as a junior.

Other: The Ravens grabbed the 2001 city and state championship. McCroskey earned second-team all-city honors and a spot on the all-Borough team. His team is ranked 11th nationally and second in the East in the USA Today Preseason Poll.

Quoteable: "He's a good shooter, and he can drive," Boeheim told the Daily Orange. "He's really geting better all of the time."
