Rutgers upsets No. 24 Syracuse

Herve Lamizana banked in the winning 3-point shot and Jerome Coleman scored 26 of his 31 points in the second half as Rutgers upset No. 24 Syracuse, 68-65, on Wednesday night.

The Scarlet Knights (9-9, 1-5 Big East) snapped a six-game losing streak while collecting their first conference win. Syracuse (13-3, 4-2) didn't call timeout following Lamizana's bank and Carmelo Anthony's shot from 2-point range missed badly as time expired.

Anthony finished with 17 (only two in the first half), while Jeremy McNeil added 10 points and seven blocks. The Orangemen committed 17 turnovers.
