(HOW'S THE DEFENSE LOOK?)
We're doing really well. As far as the three guys I'm playing with, we haven't had a lot of time to gel because in the fall, Sol was hurt. But we're getting some time now to get together and know what each other is doing. That's the biggest thing, the guys who graduated knew what each other was doing without even having to communicate that verbally. That's what we're working on right now.
(WHEN WILL THE COMMUNICATION ISSUE GO AWAY?)
It's just time. It's knowing what the other guy is going to do before they do it. It's just as much non-verbal as well. It's coming along every day and it gets better and better. It only comes with time.
(WHO WILL START?)
I couldn't tell you that. We've got a lot of good players. Everything's tight. That's something you'll have to ask the coach.
(HOW ABOUT SOL?)
Sol looks great. He spent so much time in the offseason in the weight room as a lot of our team did contrary to the past. A lot of the guys busted their butts in the weight room, especially Sol. I was in there a lot. Everyday I was in there, he was in there. I would come in there and be in there for half an hour, 45 minutes and he was there when I got there, and he was there when I left. He just had to get it going. He was a little slower but he was right back to speed.
(ON MISSING ST. GEORGE AND GLAZEL)
Infinitely. Two all-ameircans. You can't replace them. They were two guys that I looked up to everyday. We're really going to miss them but we're doing our best to replace them.
(ANYTHING ELSE THAT NEEDS TO IMPROVE)
No. We have a really good team that worked hard in the offseason. We'll be a proven defense in time.
(ANXIOUS TO START?)
We're really exited to go and play someone else. One thing that's really good about the guys we're playing against (in practice) is that we're playing against the best offensive crew and players in the country. That's great as far as that goes. Another thing is, you look at us, and we might have problems against our group, but we're not going to have those problems against other groups that just aren't as talented.
