Huskies too much for Orange

The Connecticut Huskies beat the Syracuse Orangemen, 75-61, on Monday night. The Huskies, without coach Jim Calhoun, who is recovering from surgery to move a cancerous prostate.

They also won their second game without starting guard Taliek Brown, who will be out up to six weeks with a broken finger.

The Orangemen, who saw their three game win streak snapped, were led by Carmelo Anthony's 29 points.

UConn's Emeka Okafor had 15 points, 12 rebounds and six blocked shots.
