Kugler May Be Moving

Robert Kugler is one of the best prospects in the Empire State for the Class of 2011 and Syracuse has already offered. Unfortunately, today his father was released with the rest of the Buffalo Bills coaching staff and that means that Kugler could be moving somewhere else to play his senior year.

Orchard Park High School defensive end Robert Kugler has four offers right now, one of which is from Syracuse and was recently given a three-star ranking on the Class of 2011 Watch List. We caught up with him tonight to talk about his thoughts on the Orange.

"I've been to Syracuse twice and I really like the campus a lot," Kugler said. "Another thing I really like about them is their coaching staff. Head Coach Doug Marrone really has things going in the right direction and will have them back to playing Syracuse Football soon. When I was in the locker room he was really fired up with the team and you could see his vision for the program. They constantly talk about getting their type of guys up there to build things the right way."

"I also really like Coach Bob Casullo who would be my position coach," Kugler added. "He's a really upbeat, fired up guy that can get you talking so that you really enjoy spending time with him. He's got great experience having coached in the NFL and when you're being coached by him you know you're getting the right type of coaching, so you definitely listen."

Kugler's father was the offensive line coach with the Buffalo Bills, but the coaching staff was let go on Monday, so Kugler doesn't even know where he'll be playing his senior year of football.

"I don't even know where I'll be playing my senior year, so I'm a little bit nervous because I have my niche here," Kugler explained. "Moving anywhere I know I could play football and it is fun to see different levels of football, so we'll see how things go in the future."

Kugler finished his senior season with 81 tackles, five sacks and three forced fumbles playing 3-4 defensive end.
