Miller Talks UCLA and Onyeali

Jonny Miller let know that the Bruins were recruiting him, but debunked any rumors that he would be taking a look at UCLA on Friday night. While we had him on the phone, we also got the scoop on what his teammate and Syracuse target Nduka Onyeali was up to.

When rumors started swirling that UCLA was starting to approach Jonny Miller, there was obviously reason for worry for Syracuse fans as he is a quality quarterback that is very important to this class. On Friday night he made it clear that he was all Orange and also shared his thoughts on where his teammate may be with his decision.

"UCLA has shown some interest, but I have no interest in going out to see them and they haven't offered me or anything like that, so there's nothing really to it," Miller said. "I'm committed to Syracuse and was just out there last weekend. I'll be going up again in the spring to visit too."

"I went in last weekend because I wanted to go up and meet a lot of the recruits because they were in and also talk to the coaches to solidify everything, so that's basically what I did," Miller added. "I spent a lot of time with a lot of recruits and commitments and really got along well with everyone. I'm as firm as can be with Syracuse and can't wait to get up there."

Since Miller's teammate Nduka Onyeali has been unreachable lately, we asked him what he thought his best friend was going to do in recruiting.

"Nduka is committed to Arizona State right now, but he's still not sure about his decision, so he's weighing his options right now," Miller explained. "I think he's trying to step back and see what he wants. The Syracuse coaches were out last night and I was over there with them, so he's just trying to see what he's going to do, so I know he's not talking to the media or anything. He's one of my best friends, but I'm not sure what he'll do. I just know he likes Arizona State, Syracuse and TCU a lot and that he's not sure what he wants to do yet."
