Robinson Coming to Rush That QB

Cleveland, Ohio product Micah Robinson is the third player to commit to Syracuse on Monday and brings the Orange a heavily recruited pass rusher that could get onto the field quickly. We spoke to him on Monday night and while he's a young man of little words, he certainly knows what he's coming to SU to do.

Micah Robinson, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound defensive end from John Adams High School gave the Syracuse coaching staff a huge boost on Monday night with his verbal commitment.

"I committed to Syracuse about an hour ago," Robinson said. "At first I called Coach Brumbaugh and then I called Coach (Doug) Marrone and they were real excited. They were both happy and said that I really made their day."

"I mostly committed because of the way I felt about the coaching staff and also, because I know they'll teach me well," Robinson added. "First of all, I like Coach Marrone because he knows what it feels like to be a college athlete and what it's like to go through this. I like Coach Brumbaugh a lot because he teaches you the small things that you need to make you an even better player. I think that attention to detail is really going to help me."

"I'm just ready to get up there and play some football with all of those guys at the next level. I bring a really good pass rusher, but I'm not into giving speeches or anything. I do my talking on the field and leave that stuff to other people."

Robinson had 15 sacks as a senior and was named first-team All-League and All-City.
