Orangemen get huge road win

Carmelo Anthony scored 25 points as Syracuse (No. 17 ESPN/USA Today, No. 15 AP) edged Michigan State 76-75 on Sunday. The Spartans had three different chances to win the game in the final six seconds, but Michigan State missed a flurry of shots and layups.

Syracuse (19-4), winners of six of seven, held off a furious shooting performance by MSU's Chris Hill, who scored a career-high 34 points, including a Big Ten-record 10 3-pointers. But the Spartans (14-11) couldn't get much else outside of Hill.
