Ready to Put On a Show

Snellville, Ga., native Cameron Lynch landed a Syracuse offer a few weeks ago and when spoke to him on Tuesday night we learned that the Orange coaching staff would actually be at his high school on Wednesday to watch him in action in the first of the school's two spring games.

Cameron Lynch, a 5-foot-11, 215-pound linebacker from Brookwood High School only has knowledge of Syracuse from what he's seen in the motion picture The Express, but he's anxious to learn more.

"The Syracuse coach is actually coming down tomorrow for our high school spring game, so that's going to be really cool," Lynch stated. "I've talked to them over the phone as well and I'm going up to camp as well, so I'm looking forward to getting to know them when I get up there as well."

"Coach (Greg) Adkins is recruiting me and he's been good," Lynch added. "He made a good first impression and also spoke with my dad who was also happy that they were coming all the way down here to see me. I'm just going to make I put on a show for Syracuse tomorrow while they're down here so they see what I can do. They want me to play outside linebacker because they like my coverage ability and this year I'm playing middle linebacker, but they'll get to see me play both tomorrow."

We asked Lynch what he does well on the football field.

"I have a nose for the ball and have really good coverage ability and range as a linebacker," Lynch explained. "I have a good understanding of the game as well. If I have to work on anything I think I could become a better student of the game and just make some small improvements in every area."

As a junior, Lynch registered 135 tackles, four sacks, seven quarterback hurries and one interception.
