Syracuse No. 1 for Trudo

Farrell, Pa., native Robert Trudo is holding a Syracuse offer and visiting the campus recently admitting that "he loved it up there". We spoke to him on Sunday night about his experience with the Orange and it sounds like they're sitting in a very good position for Trudo's services.

Robert Trudo, a 6-foot-4.5, 280-pound offensive guard from Farrell High School talked to us on Sunday night about his thoughts on Syracuse.

"West Virginia is really interested in me and I have offers from Syracuse and Toledo right now," Trudo said. "I have a lot of other schools coming by the school to, but I don't know the level of interest right now. Those are just the three schools that I know have an offer level of interest right now."

"I know a lot about Syracuse because I grew up watching their basketball program and loved Carmelo Anthony," Trudo stated. "When I went up there it was like Syracuse was calling my name like, "Come here Trudo, come here"…I just loved it up there and they're in the lead for me right now. I think it was just the atmosphere that the coaches created up there. The facilities are great, the campus is the size that I'm looking for, the Carrier Dome speaks for itself and it just really had everything I was looking for up there."

"I made a lot of friends up there. Louie Addazio and I have been talking a lot and we hung out a lot during practice and still talk on Facebook all the time. I met Greg Paulus up there and he was a great guy. The coaching staff was amazing too. I've never felt more personally connected to a coaching staff as I did with the Syracuse staff. I sat down with the offensive line coach and that conversation just went really well and Coach Marrone was a former offensive lineman in the NFL and my ultimate goal is to get into the league, so I know he could help me to get there."

Trudo stated that he doesn't want to drag his recruiting out to long and may decide before his senior season starts, so things look good for the Orange right now.
