"Everything's been going great with recruiting" said Outlaw. "I have about 15 offers right now and I got the TCU offer on Thursday. My coach told me about it; it's fascinating because it's a school from the other side of the country."
Currently holding offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, South Carolina, South Florida, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and now TCU, it's blatantly obvious that the big lineman from Georgia is one of the most coveted prospects in the Southeast. As far as TCU is concerned, just what did Outlaw think when he received his offer from the Horned Frogs?
"I would have to say it's a pretty intriguing offer" said Outlaw. "They are one of the only schools from the other side of the country that's recruiting me and that makes an impression. I might take a visit down there, I'm not sure yet. "
Outlaw went on to explain that his schedule is pretty full at the moment.
"I'm going to Auburn this weekend and then Clemson on the 3rd" he said. "Then I'm going to Arkansas, Georgia and Florida during the spring and summer. I might try to go look at TCU but I'm not sure when."
With recruiting, it's the little things that can make a prospect choose a school. Sometimes, the familiarity with another player can push someone in a particular direction. With that in mind, does it affect Outlaw's decision at all when considering ex-teammate Jordan Moore is now a TCU Horned Frog?
"J-Mo, that's my boy. That's what I call Jordan Moore" said Outlaw laughing. "I was talking to him while he was making his decision and he was telling me what he liked about TCU and why he picked them. I would say that I'm fascinated with them, I need to get down there to see what it's like."
With so many schools to choose from, the Lithonia star spoke candidly about what factors could ultimately help him finalize his decision.
"I'm definitely going to take the depth chart into consideration" he said. "Mainly though, it's my comfort level with the staff and if they have my major. I want to major in mass communications so that will be important. I also have to find a place that I will enjoy living for the next few years."
When asked about a timeline, Outlaw stated that he wanted to take his time. Keeping his word is important to him so he won't be deciding early and then changing his mind down the road.
"I would like to make my decision and stay with it" said Outlaw. "I don't want to make a decision early and then change my mind. Right now I'm open to everybody though so I don't have a top 5 or anything like that."
