On Thursday night, they offered another standout corner; Arlington Bowie's Steve Wesley.
Wesley attended TCU's practice on Thursday afternoon and shortly afterward he was extended an offer by the Horned Frogs.
"Coach (Patterson) pulled me into his office and talked to me about it all," Wesley said of getting the offer. "He said to make a wise decision and to make sure I pick a school that's right. He basically told me to take my time a little bit but he really wants me to go there though."
The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder says there's plenty to like about TCU.
"They offered me as a corner," Wesley said. "I love the team. I like the campus, I love the new facilities, the players; I like everything. I like that it's at home too. It's really a big thing to me to be close because it's good for me."
What did he think of the Frogs' fourth practice of the spring?
"I liked the speed level of it. Its way faster but I think I can handle it," Wesley said of TCU's practice.
TCU is Wesley's first offer. He's also getting interest from several others and another offer could be right around the corner.
Wesley says he currently has two favorites standing out above the others, with one having a slight lead.
"As of right now its TCU and Texas A&M, I think TCU is leading right now," he said.
Wesley says several factors play in the Frogs favor; location, program and the fact that one of his former Bowie teammates is already on the roster; Kolby Listenbee.
"That helps a lot because I won't be a stranger on my own up there," Wesley said.
