One school that has had a good relationship with Jefferson throughout the process is TCU.
Jefferson was already scheduled to be on TCU's campus on Saturday for a track meet so he decided to make the trip up to Ft. Worth a day early to meet with the Frogs' football coaches. Jefferson gave the visit high marks and says the program has much more to offer than just good football.
"It went really good. I got to see the facilities and they were really nice. On a scale from 1 to 10, I would say it was a 9," Jefferson said. "TCU has so much more to offer than just football. I really like how a lot of their players already have their degree when they go to the NFL."
Accompanying Jefferson on his visit were his mom and dad. Both also liked what TCU has to offer, particularly the academics.
"They really liked the school," Jefferson said. "They liked the academics and how TCU graduates their players. They thought it was really nice and they liked it there."
"Coach Patterson took me into his office and offered me," Jefferson said. "It was nice to get an offer from them and my parents really liked it."
TCU was already a program Jefferson had an interest in. After Friday's visit, the school moved up even more in his eyes.
"Oh yes sir, they really opened my eyes. I already liked them but they moved way up there after today," he said. "They're close to home and they have good academics so that's really good."
Jefferson has plans to visit Baylor next weekend and possibly Texas Tech the following weekend. While he remains committed to A&M, Jefferson will continue to look at his other options and hopes to have a final decision this summer.
"Well I'm committed to A&M but I want to take all of these visits. I'll know everything for sure by this summer," Jefferson finished.
