Since receiving an offer from the Frogs, Reid has added offers from North Carolina, Connecticut, Arizona, Mississippi and Mississippi State. Others continue to show the versatile tight end interest and more offers could be around the corner.
"Everything is still the same that it was, everything is wide open," he said. "I'm going to OSU (Oklahoma State) next Monday and I'm looking forward to that and hoping they'll offer. Actually A&M is kind of coming around a little bit. I'm kind of waiting to see what happens with them too."
A month ago Reid was overwhelmed when he received his first offer from TCU, which is understandable considering the offer came from a childhood favorite. Now that his offer list is getting close to double digits, Reid admits he's been caught by surprise by all the attention he's received.
"It's truly unbelievable, you go through it and you see guys getting offer and you wonder if it's going to happen to you and now it's happening," Reid said. "It's surreal for me. I've loved every minute of it, it's something special. I thought it would be a lot slower than it has been crazy just how fast everything has happened."
Although Reid says it's a good feeling to be recruited by so many schools, it also comes with a downside. That's because each school that is showing him interest have good things to offer as a program and won't make his decision any easier.
"It is rough because there are a lot of schools that you hear from that you are really excited about but at the end of the end of the day you've got to realize there's your first choice, second choice and third choice," Reid said. "I'm still looking to get this over with relatively sooner than later and depending on what OSU and A&M say it will vary on how long I'll end up waiting."
Reid says throughout the process one thing has remained the same; his admiration for TCU. The Frogs are still in very good shape to land his services according to the 6-foot-4, 220-pounder.
"Whoever else I end up considering they're going to have to go up against TCU because everything I've ever said before still stands," Reid said of TCU. "They haven't faded off my mind or been pushed under the rug. They're still very, very, very high on the list."
