Andrew Tercek currently holds one offer but expect that to change in the near future. The 6'2" 270 pound interior line prospect from East Central high school in San Antonio, TX is emerging as one of the top sleepers in the state. HornedFrogBlitz.com caught up with Turcek to get his thoughts on the day's events at Valley Ranch.

"The coaching was very good, it was hands on with a lot of new drills and new techniques" said Tercek. "I got to incorporate of lot of the new tools in the one on one pass pro so it was really good, I really liked it."

Currently holding an offer from North Texas, Tercek knows the pressure is not as intense as it is when a prospect doesn't have an offer. Having said that, he's not sitting back and acting like he's arrived yet either. Turcek talked about the caliber of prospects he was lining up against during the camp.

"It was really good, there were a lot of really good D-linemen and good offensive linemen there" he said. "I made it to the top three or five in the best on best competition so I was thankful for that." Tercek went on to explain that it's nice to see how he stacks up with the best in the country. "The talent level was good and it's kind of nice to see who and what your competition is and to really be able to put a name with a face. To see everybody's talent level was nice and it was really nice to showcase myself as well."

What Tercek lacks in size, he makes up for in tenacity. Although he's not currently the ideal size for the next level, Tercek's father, David Turcek once played at 6'5" and 335 pounds so it's likely that the younger Tercek isn't finished growing just yet. During drills on Sunday, nothing mattered but the opponent in front of him and his tenacity set him apart from the majority of his peers. His style of play is attracting attention from programs across the country.

"UNT (North Texas) is currently on top obviously because they've offered but I'm also hearing from TCU, Kansas State, Boise State, Houston, Rice and all of the armed forces academies. These are the schools that I talk to on almost a weekly basis."

It's pretty clear that Tercek knows what it takes to get noticed. Hard work, energy and technique go a long way when trying to make a name for yourself. With spring football comes more college recruiters and Tercek hopes he's made enough noise to garner a few more offers.
