Dallas Carter RB adding interest

Dallas Carter 2014 runningback Corey Avery is hearing from several schools early in the process.

Dallas Carter historically is known for producing top notch talent. Every year college coaches flock to the south Dallas school in search for the next great athlete. Several of the current Cowboys are getting interest and the 2014 class has the makings of something special.

Several prospects from 2014 are generating quite a bit of interest; among them is runningback Corey Avery.

"A couple of schools, Oklahoma, TCU, Baylor and some SEC teams," Avery said of the schools showing interest.

Avery says a few programs have come by Carter, including TCU.

"I believe one of their coaches came by the school," he said. "Oklahoma and Texas Tech, the offensive coordinator, have been by too."

The speedy runningback has a few camps he plans on hitting this summer.

"I'm going to Texas and probably Baylor and TCU's," Avery said. "Texas is June 10 and Tech is June 11th at Lancaster."

Although it's still very early in the process for Avery, he says a few schools are standing out at the moment.

"I like Ohio State, I like the way they run the spread and stuff and how they're able to move down the field," he said. "I also like Baylor and Texas. I like Baylor because they move the downfield and the running game is good. And Texas, Mack Brown seems like a nice coach and their runningbacks get the ball a lot."
