Bowser holds several offers

Tyler (TX) John Tyler defensive end Tyus Bowser has several offers on the table and is receiving interest from others, including TCU.

Tyler (TX) John Tyler defense end Tyus Bowser is a wanted man these days. The 2013 prospect has several offers on the table and more should be right around the corner.

Bowser played at 215-pounds in 2011 and has since added 10 pounds of muscle and now measures in at 6-foot-2, 225-pounds. The talented end has reported offers from Texas Tech, Missouri, Memphis, West Virginia and Louisiana-Lafayette. Others such as Oklahoma State and Oregon are showing him strong interest.

Another school that has showed interest is TCU, who visited his school in the spring. Bowser also visited TCU twice in 2011 to watch the Horned Frogs play two games.

"They have a little bit, they came down to my school (in the spring)," Bowser said. "I went to a couple of their games last year. "The atmosphere was amazing and they have great coaches and players. They work hard out there and when they play, they play their hardest."

TCU is a school Bowser has a high interest in and went on to discuss what he likes about the school.

"It's a great school, they have a great program with a lot of great players and great coach in Coach Patterson," Bowser said of TCU. "It's just a great school to go to.

In 2011 the Frogs signed Bowser's former teammates Chris Hackett and David Bush. Bowser says he often talks with Hackett about TCU.

"He says it's a great school and that he works out hard. He says everyday you've got to work hard to get that spot," he said.

Bowser says he hasn't set a timeline on when he'd like to make a decision but knows what he's looking for in a school.

"First thing is always academics and just a school that I'm comfortable with," Bowser said of the factors he's looking at. "I also want a great atmosphere."
