Hoefeld anxious for TCU camp

New Orleans Brother Martin offensive lineman Ryan Hoefeld is up to 13 offers. He hopes an offer from TCU will be next.

New Orleans Brother Martin offensive lineman Ryan Hoefeld has had a busy summer with college camps, especially last week when he attended a handful of camps, including Florida State.

The Seminoles offered the 6-foot-3, 265-pounder after his impressive camp performance which now gives him thirteen offers in the fold. Others who have offered include Arizona, Memphis, Minnesota, Florida International and Louisiana Tech among others.

Hoefeld planned to attend a one-day camp in Alabama on his way back home from Florida but decided he needed to give his body a rest after a brutal week of workouts.

"I picked up an offer from Florida State when I went to their camp and then after I picked up that offer I didn't go to Alabama the next day just because I wanted to rest myself up," he said. "My body really started taking a toll after going to so many camps and practicing twice a day. I just re-scheduled the Alabama camp for mid-July; I think it's right after the TCU camp.

Speaking of TCU, the Frogs are another team that has increased their interest in Hoefeld. The rising prospect confirmed that he will be attending TCU's one-day camp on July 13th and if things go as planned, he feels offer no. 14 could be on the table.

"I've talked to Coach Haverty and he said they don't lie to their recruits, its one thing they pride themselves on and he said he's not wasting my time, he wouldn't be talking to me," he said. "He said everyone likes me there and he just wants me to come down to a camp. He said the offensive line coach loves my film and basically he just wants to work with me in person.

"He's just saying they like me a lot and he's not wasting my time and pretty much said I would have an offer if I went up there. I've already got it on the calendar; I've got a hotel set up for July 13th."
