On Thursday, 2014 five star point guard Emmanuel Mudiay visited TCU as well.
Harris who attends Berkner High School and plays AAU for the Urban Elite said he has known TCU assistant Pooh Williamson since Williamson was an assistant at Texas A&M.
"I have known coach Pooh since he was at A&M. We have a good relationship. We've been knowing each other for a long time," Harris said.
At 6'3, Harris has made a name for himself as a guard capable of playing both point and two-guard. His ability to finish around the rim has caught the eyes of college coaches.
Harris who visited the University of Arkansas on Thursday said the visits were similar.
"They are both good schools. They both have good coaching staffs, and their styles are different, actually totally opposite," Harris said. "But interest wise, they are even for me."
Harris stressed his relationship with the coaches as a crucial factor in his recruitment. He said he had a lengthy talk with head coach Trent Johnson.
"I had a long conversation with him [Trent Johnson]. He's a great guy," Harris continued. "We talked about his program and his style, and we talked about his background how he coached at Stanford and LSU. He had some good stuff, several Sweet 16s, great coach," Harris said.
I asked Harris what grade he would give his TCU visit out of ten.
"I'd give it a 9 out of 10," Harris decided. "My favorite part was just getting to communicate with the coaches."?
Harris said playing time will not factor in much to his decision because he feels like he can come in and start anywhere.
Harris confirmed that he had a scholarship offer from TCU and Arkansas. He holds at least 9 offers overall.
The Richardson, Texas native will visit Texas on Sunday. "I know that will be really nice as well, so I am pretty excited," Harris finished.
