Lewis nearing first offer?

Cedar Hill, Texas prospect Isaiah Lewis could be nearing his first offer.

In the game of football, intimidation is part of the game. For Cedar Hill, Texas linebacker Isaiah Lewis, he certainly looks the part of an intimidator. Getting past just the looks, Lewis is regarded as one of the top players on a team full of D-1 talent.

Although he's being recruited as a safety by most schools, he plays linebacker for team. In 2011 Lewis recorded 75 tackles, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery. Lewis is receiving steady interest from several schools and feels his first offer could be coming soon.

"I've been hearing from Iowa State and Iowa they've been showing interest too. My coach said New Mexico State and UTSA are also showing interest," he said.

Two schools Lewis admits he'd like to hear more from are TCU and Oregon. Lewis actually attended a TCU junior day earlier this year with some of his teammates and says the Frogs are among his favorite schools.

"TCU and Oregon," he said. "I like TCU first of all because of Elisha Olabode, he went to Cedar Hill and I'm real close to him, that's one thing that made me like TCU. Plus, they've been winning and all I want to do is win. The 4-2-5 is my favorite defense and that's what we're in. I've been watching their defense and they've been good.

"I loved it(junior day visit), I like their facilities and their class I think they said there's only 30 people in their class, most schools have hundreds in them."

What does he like about Oregon?

"Their jerseys," Lewis said laughing. "I like their jersey and their style of play. They play real fast and I like that about them."

The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder says he wants to feel at home wherever he decides to play. He also wants to win a lot of ball games.

"I can be far, I just want to be treated like family and go somewhere that wants to win basically," Lewis said of key factors he's looking at.
