HFB.com continues our countdown of the top 11 impact players for TCU.

TCU 2012 Top Impact Players

With the start of the 2012 season just days away when the Frogs report to camp on August 6th, HFB.com takes a look at the top 11 impact players that are vital to the Frogs success in their inaugural season in the Big 12.

Counting down the list so far, at #11 was defensive tackle Jon Lewis and Jason Verrett came in at #10. Next on the list has big shoes to fill and will be asked to do one of the most challenging tasks this season; protect Casey Pachall's blind side. #9 on the list is left tackle Tayo Fabuluje. Fabuluje sat out the 2011 season per NCAA rules after transferring from BYU. Fabuluje made the switch to the offensive side of the ball once he arrived to TCU and will be one of three new starters on the offensive line this fall.

#9 Tayo Fabuluje

What makes Fabuluje an impact player?
Well, for starters he's dealt the task of protecting arguably the Frogs top player on the team. Fabuluje played tackle at Arlington Oakridge and was moved to defense at BYU. He was tried at defensive tackle initially at TCU but soon moved to offense and hasn't looked back since. He spent 2011 on the Frogs' scout team and this spring received praise from Coach Patterson on his transition to full time left tackle. Fabuluje missed the last few weeks of spring after a slight injury but was held out mainly just for precautionary reasons. Fabuluje is one of the biggest linemen in the Big 12 but aside from his mammoth size, Fabuluje also has good feet and an enormous reach which is perfect for left tackle. Fabuluje is also good on run blocking and with James and Tucker returning in the Frogs backfield, they shouldn't skip a beat running behind Fabuluje. Fabuluje will be the third new starter at left tackle in the last three years for the Frogs, following Marcus Cannon and Jeff Olson.

Tracking the list…
11. Jon Lewis
10. Jason Verrett
9. Tayo Fabuluje
