2014 Recruiting Board

HornedFrogBlitz.com takes a look at some of the top 2014 prospects we feel the Frogs are pursuing.

With the 2013 class still in full swing, it's never too early to get a close look at the class of 2014 prospects. Afterall, the Horned Frogs already have a commitment for the 2014 class and have extended fourteen offers for the class.

IMPORTANT: This is not the official recruiting board for TCU. It's a list of prospects formed by HornedFrogBlitz.com to give the Frog fans an idea of who the staff may be pursuing.

The following chart lists each position and the number of prospects we feel the Frogs will target at that particular position. Each position lists players who have received offers first, then the rest of players at each position in no particular order.

QUARTERBACK - 1 or 2
TCU signed only 1 QB in 2012 and has none committed for the 2013 class. Frogs could take two in 2014.

RECEIVER - 2
TCU will lose Skye Dawson at the end of the 2012 season and Josh Boyce at the end of 2013 which leaves the Frogs with only 8 players on scholarship, including 2013 commit Ty Slanina. Frogs will take at least two and already have Emmanuel Porter in the fold.

TCU will take two tight ends in 2013 after losing two to graduation. The 2014 should see the Frogs taking one.

DEFENSIVE LINE – 3 or 4
Unless they land two playmakers for the 2013 class, the Frogs could go after two defensive tackles in 2014. Also look for them to eye two defensive ends.

LINEBACKERS - 1 or 2
Frogs are young at linebacker but that won't stop them from pursuing a couple of linebackers from the 2014 class.

KICKER/PUNTER - 0
Jaden Oberkrom and Ethan Perry will be headed into their junior year by the time a 2014 prospect would arrive on camps. For that reason, TCU likely won't be shaking the bushes for a kicker or punter until the 2015 class. But, one prospect sticks out. .
